back to topAugust 27, 2002Aidan UpdateAidan started to scoot forward (just a wee-little bit, but forward nonetheless) on his tummy to get closer to one of his new toys. He is also able to figure out how to put one of his more complicated teething toys into his mouth, although this only works sometimes and he is best at it with his left hand.

back to topAugust 22, 2002Matthew Knee UpdateThree months after the surgery, the doctor prescribed a new knee brace for Matthew, which he can wear while being active. The doctor encouraged him to try shooting baskets, try running with 20 degree changes of direction (which will be eventually increased to 90 degree turns), shuttle relays, etc. However, Matthew is not allowed to do any of these activities without the knee brace (which hasn't arrived yet) and he's not allowed to actually play basketball or compete in any "real" activities, but at least he can shoot some hoops....

back to topAugust 15, 2002Aidan meets his great-grandmotherAidan meets his great-grandmother for the very first time. Renee developed laryngitis and wasn't feeling particularly great, but the visit turned out to be a grand success.

back to topAugust 14, 2002Renee and Aidan are off to New JerseyAidan and Renee left for New Jersey today; it is Aidan's first trip on an airplane and his first trip out of state!

back to topAugust 05, 2002Aidan UpdateAidan had his four month check-up today and received four more vaccinations. He weighed in at 17 pounds 10 ounces (90th percentile for his age), measures 26.5 inches tall (95th percentile), and has a head circumference of 44 centimeters (95th percentile).
